ERIC ROBOT HAS PUMP FOR HEART (May, 1929)
Here’s a quote from the original source, Modern Mechanix:

ERIC ROBOT HAS PUMP FOR HEART
ERIC ROBOT, London’s famous mechanical man, opened his heart to the public the other day to show just what was in him. As the photograph shows, Eric’s “in-sides” are so mechanically complicated that a physician called upon to operate on him for appendicitis would hardly know where to begin. The two bellows which may be seen in the picture represent Eric’s lungs, and the small furnace is his stomach. The pumping machine does duty as his heart, being connected up with various portions of his person by means of hollow tubing.

As always gang, enjoy!

Dredd vs. Death by Greg Staples

Just look at this gorgeous Judge Dredd vs. Judge Death painting by Greg Staples! I’ve followed Dredd since the late 80s or early 90s. Long before that terrible Sly Stalone movie. Thank God that was rectified with the 2012 Karl Urban Dredd movie… which I loved. Fucking MEGA-LOVED!!
Seriously, if you haven’t seen the last years Dredd support that movie and see it now. It’s like a cross between the Robocop and the Terminator! It’s relentlessly brutal. Probably the single BEST action movie I’ve seen in 20 years.
And as always Roboteers, please enjoy!

Metropolis: A Rare Film Programme for Fritz Lang’s Masterpiece

-JGR Free Internet Gold Download of the day!!-

Here’s the original 1927 movie programme for the British premiere of Fritz Lang’s Metropolis!! How wicked cool is this? A big thank you goes out to my buddy Ben for showing me that this was online!!

I’ve RARed the full 33 page programme up into a single download!! Whatcha waitin’ on gang…

=> Download the FULL movie programme magazine HERE!!! <=

Like free internet swag? I’ve collected all of my posts that have free download links to all sorts of goodies in them into the clickable word tag Internet Gold!

Quote from the website found on:

The world’s most valuable movie poster, for Fritz Lang’s 1927 masterpiece Metropolis, is to be auctioned again after making a record $690,000 in 2005. Ephemera related to the film is notoriously scarce, with only four copies of the poster known to survive. Almost as uncommon is this amazing film programme produced for the London premiere at the Marble Arch Pavilion on March 21, 1927, one of only three copies that we have handled. Not only a list of cast and crew, it includes eleven short pieces on the making of the movie, commentary from the director and cast, and numerous production photographs and film stills, many attractively arranged as modernist collages. One of the most interesting sections shows in parallel columns how a passage of film scenes was adapted from the novel of the same name by Lang’s wife, Thea von Harbou.

Enjoy Roboteers!!

Gerry Anderson/Barry Grey: Stingray - Aqua Marnia

In tribute to the great Gerry Anderson who passed away on Boxing day, Wednesday 26th December 2012 in Oxfordshire, England. I’m posting the songs written by Barry Grey for Gerry’s television programs. I’ve been listening to this on my commute into work these past few days.

Gerry Anderson had a massive impact on my childhood and life. His incredible vision of Sci-Fi, from Thunderbirds to Space 1999 and everything in between, has left an indelible imprint in my mind and soul.

Thank you for your gifts and legacy Gerry,
