Hiya Roboteers, welcome to Joe's Giant Robots! Here you’ll find a hodgepodge of pop culture oddities, vintage bric-a-brac, and anything I may fancy. My posts aren't politically correct at times, so if you’re easily offended you’ve been warned. Please feel free to poke around and have fun at my little internet-clubhouse. And as always gang, enjoy! ~Joe
Wowzers and whizbangs gang!! Today’s Monday New Art brings you FOUR wicked-cool Joe’s Giant ASCII Robots! These four drawings are my foray into ASCII art. I “drew” these in January 2007 using nothing more than standard keyboard characters (no fancy-schmancy special characters) in a simple text editor.
I hand typed these robots; NO special ASCII software was used to make them. I simply opened up Apple’s TextEdit app text editor and started typing. I had no initial design in mind, I just typed and erased and re-typed until I got something I liked.
GIANT ASCII ROBOTS!! This week I show off my ASCII Art skills.
Salutations Robots and Robotettes! This is the X1 Battle-Bot! This piece is part of a collection of four ASCII Battle-Bots that I created called Giant ASCII Robots. I typed this badass in a text editor; no ASCII imaging software of any kind was used. My ASCII robot was featured on wired.com!
